CEO and Founder
When he’s able to untether from work and technology Rebel Ventures’ CEO and Founder Craig Howe can be found biking, hiking, and exploring the outdoors with his wife and two young daughters. When in the office, using his two decades of experience helping iconic franchises such as the San Francisco 49ers , Chicago Bulls, Boston Red Sox, Real Madrid, and Liverpool FC, Craig leverages his knowledge of digital strategy and revenue generation to help optimize brand performance at the intersection of sports + technology.
Craig has led Rebel Ventures to invest in or advise for over a dozen early stage digital start-ups such as SnappyTV (sold to Twitter), Visage, and Blayze Technologies (sold to Vobile).
Craig’s route into digital leadership stemmed from his role as a global marketing executive for Electronic Arts and Universal Interactive. He founded Rocket XL, one of the first social media agencies ever created in 2002, and it was later sold to V7 International in 2008.
Craig has a BA in Business from the University of Colorado and participated in an adjunct MBA program at Stanford while working at Electronic Arts. He has also written for Wired, Huffington Post, and Bleacher Report.
Craig is most proud of being on the WTA Digital Advisory Board, where he hopes to passionately help increase the digital value of women’s tennis for the future of his daughters and millions of other young women playing sports around the world.
